Member Benefits

As a member of the Vermont Veterinary Medical Association, you will have opportunities to gain knowledge, make your voice heard, and have access to invaluable resources.

Knowledge
The VVMA offers two continuing education conferences a year, providing members with quality, local and affordable educational programs that exceed the number of continuing education credits required by the state licensure board.  By taking advantage of these offerings, you will not only expand your knowledge of veterinary medicine itself, but you will enhance your professional skills as well.  VVMA members receive reduced registration rates for our CE programs.

Our programs include a two-day Winter Meeting and a one-day Summer Meeting, providing a total of 18 hours of CE in areas of veterinary medicine, practice management, and staff development.  In addition, attendees have the opportunity to network with other veterinary professionals during social events and browse new products and services in the Exhibit Hall.

As a VVMA member, you will also have many opportunities for professional development. Make a difference and impact the organization by joining one of our many Committees, which offer leadership opportunities and the chance to network with colleagues from across the state.

Voice
Achieve together what you cannot alone. As an advocate for the veterinary profession, the VVMA provides one voice on state legislative and regulatory issues through representation before the Vermont Legislature and other regulatory bodies. The VVMA also monitors new bill and rule introductions within the state, as well as across the country to keep current on trends and ideas that are impacting the veterinary profession.  The VVMA seeks input from members on important legislative and regulatory issues, and strives to protect and promote the veterinary profession.
