Congratulations to all of the participants in the
2006 VVMA National Pet Week Drawing Contest!
The contest was a HUGE success; over 300 Vermont school children from across the state submitted fantastic drawings! We were impressed with the quality, creativity, and thought that went into all of the drawings; of course, that made for some very tough decisions for all of the judges. The pictures we chose represent both wonderful talent as well as an impressive ability to creatively communicate this year’s theme of “Fitness Unleashed.”
We want to extend a special thank you to all of the elementary school art teachers who helped to incorporate this contest into the classroom; with your involvement, this contest was a roaring success!
Congratulations to all and we hope to see your crayons hit the paper next year!
The VVMA wishes to thank Pfizer Animal Health for their support in providing the contest prizes
- First: Vermont Teddy Bear dressed in veterinary surgical scrubs and VVMA surgical hat.
- Second: Vermont Toy Stuffed Moose in VT sweater
- Third: Stephen Huneck's book "Sally Goes to the Vet"
