Free x-ray machine
Our local health center has decided to remove it's x-ray machine willing to donate. The x-ray unit is a Bennett 100kVp-300Ma unit. The processor is a Konica QX-70. I don’t know how old it is, but they bought it for the health center used about 6 years ago.

Mixed Animal Practice Seeking Veterinarians
The Adirondack Veterinary Hospital is a mixed animal practice in Westport, New York. Westport is located within the Adirondack Park, nestled between Lake Champlain and the Adirondack Mountains. It is two hours north of Albany, two hours south of Montreal, and one hour west of Burlington, Vt..
Our busy practice is approximately 80% small animal. The majority of our large animal practice is horses (we vaccinate approximately 600 horses/year), but we also cover dairy and beef cattle, sheep, goats and camelids. We provide 24 hour emergency care to our patients. We have an exceptional staff, most of whom have been with us for more than a decade.
We are looking to establish a long term working relationship with one or two veterinarians who would welcome the challenges and rewards of mixed animal practice and of living in this unspoiled and beautiful part of the world. We would also welcome a strictly small animal practitioner who wishes to practice high quality medicine in a rural environment. There would be definite buy-in potential for the right individual.
The small animal hospital was built in 2000. The top floor is an open area apartment. There is also a second office twenty minutes away which has served as an outpatient clinic for more than 25 years.
Our small animal practice includes a busy appointment and surgical schedule, with an autotech x-ray machine, two in-house blood analyzer machines, and both isoflurane and sevoflurane anesthesia. We also have a portable x-ray machine, ultrasound, and a flexible shaft dental grinder for equine use.
Emergency calls are forwarded to the doctor on call, with a rotating schedule including the two co-owners of the practice(OSU-’83 and Univ. of Ill.-’82). We use a pager system and cell phones.
Local recreational activities include boating, hunting, fishing, hiking, camping, climbing, skiing(x-country and downhill) and mountain biking. We are 40 minutes from the Olympic venues in Lake Placid, and less than two hours from major Vermont ski areas.
